Naomi Jacques joins Council

We are delighted to welcome Naomi Jacques MSDC to Council. Naomi has been volunteering for the Society as Membership Secretary since June 2020. The role is a busy one and Naomi has been working tirelessly to ensure applications, subscriptions and enquiries are monitored and managed. Traditionally, the Membership Secretary has always been a Council Member and, after attending several Council meetings, Naomi felt she'd like to become a Trustee and Council agreed unanimously to officially invite her to join. As the first point of call for many members, Naomi represents the membership view in our discussions.

Naomi is a glass artist based in Staffordshire and works from her garden studio where she creates kiln-formed fused-glass pieces. Naomi has an incredibly generous spirit - not only did she start volunteering for the Society last year, but she also put herself forward as a locum for the vaccination clinics and has been working long shifts to register people for their vaccines.

We are so pleased to have such a bright, enthusiastic and dynamic member join Council. We very much look forward to working more closely with Naomi in the coming years.
